Two Birds - West End opens June 2023. Directly across the street from Rock Creek Park for outdoor play, the center is also conveniently located by shops, restaurants and the West End library for parents who work out of the coworking space. The center will offer all Two Birds’ typical amenities, including year-round programming, a co-working space and weekend classes for children and parents. West End will also participate in the DC PKEEP Program, offering subsidized Pre-K to DC residents.
Monthly Tuition Pricing
Tuition covers full day care and education, meals for toddlers through pre-k, supplemental programming including weekend and parent classes, studio programming, coworking space, family room, events, partnerships, photography, blankets, and other various materials and amenities. For DC resident Pre-K students, tuition does not go towards the 6.5 hours of education each day that is provided at no cost to families in partnership with the city, but does include before and after care as well as all other services, materials and amenities listed here.

Early Childhood Education
Two Birds’ curriculum is Reggio-inspired which means learning and developmental skills are layered into lesson plans that respond directly to the expressed interests of the children in the class. It is a play-based approach that focuses on open ended material exploration and child driven, teacher led small group project work.
Parent Workspace
The coworking space is a complimentary amenity and resource for Two Birds parents to enjoy coffee, tea, and a professional workspace. Parents are welcome to use this adults only space on an ad hoc or regular basis in whatever manner best suits their work schedule and needs.

Family Classes
Two Birds often offers complimentary weekend classes as an opportunity for children to explore extracurriculars with their friends while parents connect with each other. Classes range from Tae Kwondo to music to Zumba and soccer and fosters children’s development as well as a sense of community outside of school hours.

Welcome Dolls
To welcome your child on their first day, they receive a tote bag, Two Birds t-shirt and one-of-a-kind handmade doll to call their own.

Blankets
When a child graduates into the toddler program, or enrolls in any of the older programs, they are gifted with a blanket to cuddle with while they nap.

Class Photos
Two Birds takes both complimentary professional school photos as well as photos at some key events to document children’s growth and commemorate special occasions and holidays. Photos are shared digitally with families at no extra charge.

Diapers
Products used daily by children, such as diapers and wipes as well as bibs and burp cloths, are provided at no extra cost.

Meals
Breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack are included at no extra charge for all children in the toddler and older programs. Meals are served family style and catered fresh daily.

Thank you for your amazing organization of, and communication regarding the center. The lack of spread of Covid is a testament to your thoroughness and excellence in dealing with this unprecedented situation, and I cannot tell you enough how grateful we are to be a Two Birds family. Since moving to the US we have become big fans of the Thanksgiving holiday (family time, good food and articulating what we are thankful for without all the consumerism of Christmas is wonderful!) and we will certainly be saying our thanks for you and your amazing team tomorrow.
I can't believe Ian is already 3 - he's been going to Two Birds since he was 1.5 so he's spent almost half of his life at Two Birds now. He's been learning so much from everyone there. Thanks always for everything you and your staff do!
When we think about what we're thankful for in this extremely challenging year, his friends and teachers at Two Birds are at the top of the list. I send his Brightwheel photos to my family and friends every day and I always get comments on how happy he looks there and how much fun it looks like he's having. We ended up here by happenstance but we wouldn't change it for anything.
I also want to thank you and the entire center staff for all you do every day to ensure this cital service is provided in a safe and caring way. It truly means the world to Lauren and I to know our child is safe and cared for when we drop him off each day. You all as more than essential workers understand how reassuring it is to be able to have a safe place for child care. We have felt safe and reassured since day one and at every juncture we are more reassured by your vigilance.
